How knowledgeable front-line workers are about sustainability is now key to their effectively communicating a business’ values and practices to its customers.

The Sustainability Ambassadors of Sonoma County program is a five hour certification course that trains front-line workers in the hospitality and tourism industries. Students who complete the course will learn how to communicate about the unique and often first-in-the-nation sustainable practices occurring in Sonoma County and also, how to communicate with customers about sustainability of ones own business.

All members of the community are welcome to and can benefit from becoming a Sustainability Ambassador of Sonoma County. In particular, this course will provide high value for tour guides, tasting room staff, concierges, wait staff, sommelier, bar tenders, and any employee who interacts directly with customers.
