The North Coast Draft Horse and Mule Association presents the 31st annual Plowing Play Day at Jack London State Historic Park. This free family event features historic farming practices, which include plowing and harnessing demonstrations, horse-drawn wagon rides, medieval horseback skill-at-arms, blacksmithing, and early day gas engines. See mules and draft horses including Clydesdales, Belgians, Percherons, and Shires at the Beauty Ranch, home of the famous author Jack London who also raised Shire draft horses.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase or bring your own picnic lunch. A special feature of this year
