Queen Elizabeth, Shakespeare, Sir Francis Drake, members of the St. George and St. Michael’s Guild and other Renaissance travelers will be attending the fourth annual Much Ado About Sebastopol. This very special 16th century Renaissance harvest faire comes to life during the apple harvest of the mythic hamlet of Fenford.
Step back in time and visit the family-friendly Renaissance Harvest Faire in Sebastopol (Sept. 13 – 14, 2014). Get ready for an exciting day of thrilling activities throughout the faire grounds! Make herbal soap or try your hand at weaving while listening to a wandering minstrel, delight in ice cold lemonade while watching the falcons and learn about their role in Renaissance farming. If that isn’t enough, sit back and take in a short Shakespeare performance while feasting on a hearty, rustic lunch. Come relax and enjoy some well-earned recreation, while giving thanks for a bountiful harvest. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Proceeds from this historically accurate faire co-sponsored by the Sebastopol Educational Foundation and The Guild of St. George, Inc. benefit three of Sebastopol
