Out of the Blue is a fun and entertaining string musical group specializing in swing music. The group plays lively, upbeat swing classics from the 1920’s through the big-band era. Along with some “gypsy-jazz”, the four piece band plays unique versions of tunes from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Out of the Blue is led by Mark Larson on vocals, guitar, ukulele and trumpet. Michael Kane provides sweet and zany melodies on the violin as well as lending his voice to the vocals. Carol Shumate plays the double-bass along with back-up vocals. Curtis Duff rounds out the sound on pedal steel and resophonic-guitar.
