Join us for a performance of the play Gifts by Elizabeth Fuller and Conrad Bishop of the troupe The Independent Eye and a conversation about Gifts, gifts and the giving and receiving of gifts.
Gifts is a 55-minute house-concert play that has toured nationally, with a live duo, puppets, electric sander, steering wheel, and pepper grinder – three sketches about love, loss, aging and change. A young couple is trapped on an endless freeway leading them back, at last, to another try at Life. A mid-life dream of a prestigious award dissolves into begging for scraps and sanding a rusty fence, but culminates in a banquet.
