Coming to Wells Fargo Center for the Arts fresh off the release of their acclaimed collaboration, Old Yellow Moon, Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell are joined by songwriter/guitarist Richard Thompson.
Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell’s new collaboration, Old Yellow Moon, debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart–a career high for Crowell. It is the first official collaboration from the duo since Crowell joined Harris’ Hot Band as guitarist and harmony singer in 1975. She has recorded more than 25 albums and has lent her talents to countless fellow artists’ recordings. Crowell is a multi-Grammy-award winner whose songs have been recorded by many, including Johnny Cash, Etta James and Norah Jones among others. His 1988 breakthrough Diamonds and Dirt generated five #1 singles and a Grammy Award for the song “After All This Time.”
Harris and Crowell are joined by Richard Thompson, one of the world’s most critically acclaimed songwriter/guitarists. Named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of All Time, Thompson’s songs have been recorded by Robert Plant, REM, Elvis Costello and Bonnie Raitt, among many others.
