Danae Mattes and Frances McCormack talk with curator Kate Eilertsen, who introduced the two artists to one another and proposed they develop an exhibition together. While neither artist makes landscapes in the traditional sense, natural elements–earth, water, plants, and sky– are common, important aspects. The conversation will explore the artists’ overlapping “energies” and distinguishing processes that comprise the work of these kindred spirits. Seating is limited.
