The Global War on Terrorism Wall of Remembrance has made its way to Sonoma County. This traveling memorial will call Santa Rosa Memorial Park home Friday May 23 through Monday May 26. It will be free and open to the public around the clock (24 hrs) during its stay. Dedication and invocation scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday May 24 at 1900 Franklin Avenue, Santa Rosa.

The two-sided wall measures six feet tall and 94 feet long. On one side are the names of the victims of 9/11 terror attacks and names of those who have died in uniform fighting against terror. On the other side of the wall is the Global War on Terror in a timeline which started in 1983.

The Wall of Remembrance was inspired by a wish by active duty military for a memorial, the cowardly acts of terrorists on 9/11/2001 and Vietnam Veterans. Built to be displayed once it received so much public support that it now travels the country.

Vision 2 Victory is a California nonprofit. They created the Wall of Remembrance to help heal hidden wounds. Their mission is to reach all those impacted by Global Terrorism here at home.
