Michael Lester Adams grew up in San Antonio Texas and was saturated with the musical influences of that area. He and his brother Steve started singing Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb songs to entertain their fathers friends at the weekly parties his dad would host. By the age of 17 Mike was writing heartfelt songs that fused his early influences with the songsters of the day, Neal Young, James Taylor, Steven Stills and others.

In 1971 Mike came to Sonoma County California and started his west coast musical career. Each band Mike played with featured his edgy well penned songs. His longest project to date is the popular northern California band “The Fargo Brothers”, founded in 1979.
