We are pleased to be offering an introductory workshop that will take place over 2 intensive days, comprising of 10+ hours of course work. In this class you will explore design, learn to cut, adhere and grout the smalti, or glass pieces to make your own mosaic work of art. Francesco will open a door for you into an ancient art form and teach you the basic techniques that you can use to decorate your home, garden and more.
Instructor: Francesco Cafiso, has been teaching mosaic technique for almost 20 years. Classically trained in Italy, he has worked as a mosaic artist doing custom works of art and classical restoration in both Europe and North America. He now offers classes and workshops from his studio and exhibits locally in Northern California.
