This useful workshop offers artists of all levels an opportunity to explore new painting materials and methods with which they might transform their work. With a mix of one on one instruction and demonstrations, Catherine Richardson will help students to push the boundaries of their art.

A series of exercises designed to loosen and flex your methods of approaching mark making will ignite the first section of the session. The course will enable students to try out all sorts of techniques they might not have previously combined with their work. Collage, ink and marble dust washes, pen and ink, intaglio, mark making, word association, carborundum and dry pigment and many more exciting elements which will hugely increase the vocabulary of techniques used in students’ future paintings.
