This year the Human Race revisits its very first year (1981), 35 years ago, and celebrates all the glory and fun of the 1980s! BIG hair and costumes are encouraged. 3K and 10K race through Howarth and Spring Lake Parks in Santa Rosa. The timed runners start at 8 am from Herbert Slater Middle School in Santa Rosa. Fun runners and walkers begin after timed runners. The Human Race is a giant community fundraiser for nonprofits throughout Sonoma County, and has been voted the best fundraiser in Sonoma County for the past 4 years by the Press Democrat readers.

The morning is filled with many opportunities to connect with your friends and neighbors while supporting your favorite nonprofits. Among the many activities on race day – Human race Marketplace, Fun & Games area for children & those in costume, main stage music, KZST at the starting line & entertainment along the race courses, a timed runners race and a delicious pancake breakfast.
