Marie Daulne, known to her fans as Zap Mama, was literally born to transcend musical boundaries. Child of a Belgian father and an African mother, her early exposure to traditional Congolese songs and culture and to European religious and pop music, resonate in the unique sound world she creates with her vocal quintet.
