Santa Rosa Junior College professor and archaeologist Dr. Sandra Hollimon will talk about gender in Native California cultures in Sonoma County. Hollimon is a fifth generation Californian who has worked as an archaeologist throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico, Illinois and Virginia. She spent several years conducting archaeological research at Fort Ross, a multiethnic community that was part of the Russian Empire in the early 19th century.
